Dr Minakshi Dewan is a researcher and writer from Gurgaon. She has a master’s in social work from TISS, Mumbai and a doctorate in social medicine and community health from JNU, New Delhi. Minakshi's experience includes working with international and grassroots development organizations. Her main areas of focus are women's health, gender, and community mobilization. Minakshi’s work has been published in Indian and international publications, including the Deccan Herald, The Telegraph, Asia Democracy Chronicles, and Devex. Her articles delve into a wide range of issues, exploring health, human rights, environment and culture. In addition, she has written chapters on tribal health and healing practices for academic publications, such as Springer. Minakshi has also written children’s picture books. She is the author of The Final Farewell, published by HarperCollins, India.
